Peggy also utilises 3D foot scanning for custom orthotics and performs specialised procedures like swift microwave therapy and wart needling for wart removal.
Peggy is committed to collaborative care, frequently working alongside physiotherapists, podiatric surgeons, and high-risk foot care teams to ensure comprehensive care for her patients. Her fluency in Mandarin also enables her to provide exceptional care in multicultural settings. Continuously enhancing her clinical expertise through ongoing education, Peggy is passionate about giving back to the community. She has volunteered at charity walks in Australia and provided free nail care for the elderly in Singapore through the Association of Podiatric Medicine.
Paediatric foot screening is crucial for a child’s foot health. As children grow, issues such as flat feet can lead to foot, ankle and knee pain, impacting their ability to participate in sports and everyday activities. Early interventions such as taping, orthotic devices for children, education about proper footwear, and specific exercises can help children keep pace with their peers and prevent injuries.
Diabetes Foot Assessment and EducationRegularly performing lower limb blood flow and nerve studies and raising public awareness through diabetes foot education is crucial for holistic diabetes management. Diabetes is a significant chronic disease that can lead to serious lower limb complications when left undiagnosed and unmanaged. Evaluating diabetic foot health can help prevent such complications and slow down the rate of disease progression.
Conservative and Surgical Management of Ingrown ToenailsIngrown toenails can be managed conservatively in their early stages. However, some cases may require nail surgery procedures with or without nail matrix sterilisation, depending on the individual’s general health, severity, and duration of the nail condition. Peggy aims to address ingrown toenails in the least invasive manner possible while attempting to prevent future recurrence.
